So I’m not sure how real this sale is. A post on the CSS Mania blog indicates that this may be a way for them to stop the flood of emails they get offering to buy the website.

That being said if this sale is for real, it is a great chance to buy one the most established and high trafficked CSS galleries out there.

    Some pertinent facts:

    • Established: Tue Mar 02 2004
    • Uniques/Month: 3,229,712
    • Page views/month: 21,863,934
    • Monthly Revenue: 9975$
    • Google Pagerank: 6

    Minimum bid is $500K.

Constant ContentConstant Content is a marketplace for content of many kinds: Articles; Reviews; Tutorials and Blog Posts. You can also make requests for specific content if you don’t find something already written.

Constant Content makes its money by taking a cut of the sales made thru its website, with the content writers normally taking the bulk of the revenue.

The $100K minimum bid will scare of many people, but the site is making over $6K per month, with 100K unique visitors and over 600K page views per month, which seems to warrant the high asking price.

Contstant Content also ranks very well in search engines for terms that people would use when looking to buy content for their own websites.

Earlier today I received an “interesting” email from someone, I won’t say who about this very website.

I don’t get as many emails as you’d think, and very few negative ones, so this one certainly got my attention.

    Here is the email:

we looked over your moste wanted site - since you like to post RSS feeds taking offers for sites you do not own, let alone have any rights too what so ever -

We’re going to take steps to shut you down.

I belong to thee largetst Internet networking facility in the world - I don’t think once this site is pointed out amoungst the webmasters and attorneys that make up our network - they’ll appriciate what your site offers - and you may find yourself on the most wanted listing of the wrong authourities.

We’re also reportig you to google and all the other search engines to have you pulled. As well as your hosting company to have you shut down.

You like ripping sites - claiming they’re up for sale - stealing sites and aselling them asa yours?- we like shuting f**ks like you down.

I censored out a some obsenities, and removed some sender information, but that is the entirety of the message.

Now I’ve been doing this, building websites, for over 10 years and I must admit this is the first time I’ve received an email like this.

First off I don’t have a website called Most Wanted, I have plenty of other Most* Website, but MostWanted is not one of them. From the content of the message I assumed it was referring to Most-Listed.

Secondly, I’ve never, I mean EVER sold a website, all the websites I’ve ever started I still own, and I’ve never taken offers on any domain I don’t own.

Thirdly, how exactly am I “ripping sites - claiming they’re up for sale - stealing sites and aselling them asa yours?”. All I do is collect links to pages listing sites that are for sale, and send people there. In fact, people have emailed me after I launched the website asking to be included on the website.

Finally, “I belong to thee largetst Internet networking facility in the world”, should I care that he belongs to Facebook?

I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong here, and I’m glad to hear from people who think otherwise, but please be civil.

I wonder how many websites owners out there get similar emails each and every day.

Saw this domain listed for sale at Sitepoint.

Coding contest have been a great way for technology firms to find new talent, Top Coder is a great example of what could be done with a domain like this.

The domain is on sale for $200.
